After Michigan-based band Cartography released a limited run of split-vinyl pressings for their song “Rasputin” in 2012, a music video for the track soon followed courtesy of director Alyson Caillaud-Jones.

The short film itself presents a twisted Alice In Wonderland scenario – featuring a tea party attended by a host of grotesque characters – in which a young girl imagines herself fleeing the hedonistic gathering, replacing what is seemingly a bizarre fantasy-gone-wrong with a different fantasy of fearful escape. These scenes are juxtaposed with footage of Cartography’s guitarist and bass player performing the song in a dilapidated warehouse.
